Lowestoft in the UK has three beaches; Lowestoft South Beach (also known as Claremont Pier), Corton Sands and Kessingland beach.
Lowestoft town is a firm favourite among families with loads of local attractions and things to please all age groups. Attractions include two piers, amaing parks including a wildlife park and an award-winning theme park, local museums and a busy theatre which is home to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
There are a number of local hotels to stay at for those looking to book a holiday or short break.
The Claremont Pier South beach, also known as Lowestoft South beach, is a sandy beach backed by a promenade and has something for all ages.
Facilities at beach lowestoft south includes a car park, summer lifeguards, shops, attractions , food outlets and toilet facilities.
Coroton Sands Beach is just north of Lowestoft and is Britain’s most easterly point and can be quite breezy. The beach is a mixture of sand and shingle divided up by wooden groynes. To the rear of the beach is a large grassy area separated from the beach by a concrete walk way.
Kessingland beach Lowestoft Suffolk is a long, wide, sand and shingle beach backed by low cliffs.
It is well worth having a Lowestoft Harbour Tour. The harbour has many interesting vessels with organisations including CEFAS and Border Force alongside many wind farm support vessels and fishing boats.
There are a number of visitor information points in Lowestoft including the Lowestoft library.
The Suffolk coast has a number of other beautiful beaches worth visiting including Great Yarmouth, Southwold and Aldeburgh. In addition the county of Suffolk has the picturesque town of Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket; the home of horse racing.
In addition to the amazing beaches in Suffolk, there is the county of Norfolk next door and the stunning selection of beaches around the North Norfolk Coast including Hunstanton and Holkham.

There is a seasonal lifeguard service on the South Beach Lowestoft. The beach is host to a number of water sport activities including swimming, surfing, windsurfing and jet-skiing.
