While you are spoilt for choice for beaches to visit on the Norfolk coast, Hunstanton beach remains a firm favourite among many locals and a place for tourists to visit and stay.
The Hunstanton beach (also known as new hunstanton) is split into two areas; the south beach which is part of the main resort which includes arcades and shops and is made up of shingle and boulders leading into the sea.
Further north along the beach you come to Old Hunstanton which has a large area of beautiful golden sand which you can only full appreciate when the tide is all the way out. In addition there is an old ship wreckage that is worth viewing along with amazing pink cliffs and white striped cliffs which is formed from a mixture of white chalk and Norfolk carstone. The cliffs are best viewed when the tide is out.
Hunstanton is the only resort in East Anglia that faces west which offers visitors and locals the most spectacular sun sets. We recommend visiting Le Strange Arms Hotel to enjoy the best possible view.
In addition to Hunstanton seafront, Hunstanton town has a lot to offer for all ages including a number of popular restaurants selling a variety of food from traditional hunstanton fish and chips to sit down pub meals. Hunstanton attractions inclue the Sea Life Sanctuary

The Victorian resort of Hunstanton in Norfolk was built in 1846 and has a unique charm that remains popular today. In addition hunstanton town centre
has The Princess Theatre offering regular entertainment as well as ten pin bowling close to the promenade. The town has also been the winner of the prestigious RHS Britain in bloom competition.
For hunstanton walks, you have the famous The Peddars Way Walk and Norfolk coast path that starts at Hunstanton.
Norfolk is of course known as Nelson’s county as Vice Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson was born on the north Norfolk coast at Burnham Thorpe.
In 2015 Hunstanton beach was awarded the Seaside Award for its cleanliness and beach management. There are toilets and disabled facilities, as well as a beach office next to the popular Alive Oasis Leisure Centre, central promenade. The beach is cleaned regularly and dogs are allowed all year round.
The North Norfolk coast is one of the most beautiful coasts in England and benefits from a number of popular destinations for holidays or daily visits including Heacham beach which is just south of Hunstanton along with Holme and Wells Next the Sea Beach to the north East.
If you are looking for hunstanton beach parking, there are both roadside parking and car parks including clifftop and Sea Lane. For roadside parking in town please read the parking notices as they differ throughout the year.

Hunstanton has toilet facilities within a short distant from the beach.
There are number of hotels, self catering and bed and breakfast options including a large caravan park.
Hunstanton is a dog friendly beach for part of the year.
The large sandy beach is ideal for families, dog walking and is home to amazing rock pools to explore and a great place for kite-surfing.
While there is no train service, there is a bus service however most people travel by car.
Hunstanton resort, close to King Lynn has so much to offer with the its grand history and Victorian heritage combined with a wide selection of good places to eat, the arcades and ten pin bowling along with the sea life sanctuary and oasis leisure centre.
Hustanton remains a very popular destination and is very busy during the summer months, especially around school summer holiday.
