Brancaster beach is a wide expanse of golden sands and is worth visiting all year round.
The Brancaster Estate owned by the national trust includes the beach (not the carp park), the harbour and harbour and the Roman fort site Branodunum.
Brancaster Staithe harbour in its heyday was a busy port carrying cargo of grain and coal for the biggest malt house in England. Unfortunately trade declined during the 19th century but today a successful fishing industry still survives along with pleasure crafts.
The two villages of Brancaster Staithe and Burnham Deepdale merge into one along the main coast road, the A149.
The Jolly Sailors 18th century Inn is a popular choice for those interested in local ales and comfort food along with the White Horse.
Those who enjoy walking you can pick up the The Norfolk Coast Path which starts from Hunstanton and goes round to Sea Palling on the north east Norfolk coast.
The Delegate market in Burnham Deepdale has a selection of stores including local businesses like clothing brand Gone Crabbing, and Relish boutique along with Deepdale café and a petrol station. There is also a number of pop up shops during the year.

Deepdale Camping is an award-winning, eco-friendly Campsite and Private Rooms situated on the organic Deepdale Farm.
Brancaster beach is a part of the stunning North Norfolk coast which consists of a number of popular beaches including Heacham and Wells Next the Sea.
The toilets at Brancaster Beach are currently open 6am to 6pm and are found next to the car park. There is an accessible toilet that can be accessed by a Radar key.
There is a large car park very close to the beach and just before the Royal West Norfolk Golf Club. As the area is managed by the National Trust, car parking charges apply with a pay and display machine. For residents there is a Brancaster beach parking permit. To find out more visit the

As of January 2022, car parking charges are £4 for up to two hours and £8 for all day.
Brancaster beach parking payment can be made by using traditional pay and display machines. Alternatively you can use the app: Flowbirdapp.com.
Tripadvisor: Brancaster beach is beautiful and popular, although rarely crowded. It is ideal for families with excellent sandcastle-building sand and is perfect for a beach picnic. We trust you will have a fun time.
Branaster beach is a dog friendly beach. There is a small dog-free zone from May to September to the left of the entrance once you walk onto the beach but the rest of the beach is available for you and your dogs to have a great time, but please be responsible.
Brancaster beach is a good spot to see seals during the warmer months of the year.
