While you are spoilt for choice for beaches to visit on the Norfolk coast, Hunstanton beach remains a firm favourite among many locals and a place for tourists to visit and stay.
Wells Next The Sea on the North Norfolk Coast is a popular tourist spot among holiday makers and locals. Located next to Holkham Beach and close to the village of Burnham Market, Wells is a must visit if you are holidaying on the Norfolk coast.
Brancaster beach is a wide expanse of golden sands and is worth visiting all year round.
Old Hunstanton beach overlooks the wash and is a beautiful sandy beach backed by sand dunes and beach huts. The sea recedes a long way at low tide and It enjoys spectacular sunsets over the sea despite being on the North Norfolk Coast. Kite and windsurfing conditions are ideal.
West Runton Beach is situated between the towns of Sheringham and Cromer. At high tide the beach is mainly shingle, but as the tide goes out a large expanse of fine sand is revealed, along with numerous rockpools, great for exploring with the kids. Beyond the sandstone cliffs are the fields of the Norfolk countryside. The cliffs are famous for hosting large numbers of interesting fossils and in 1990 the most intact skeleton of a mammoth was found here, now known as the West Runton Mammoth.
Cromer beach and pier are part of the Victorian seaside resort of Cromer, on the popular North Norfolk coast. With an abundance of attractions, it is not surprising that this Norfolk coastal town and centre is the first choice of holiday destination for many families, and Cromer beach is definitely one of the main reasons why this stunning Norfolk town gets picked for holidays over and over again.
