Folkestone beach is centrally located and just a short distance from the town centre close to both local attractions and amenities. The beach is sandy and rocky and includes a promenade with eating facilities.
The seaside town of Folkestone is located in Kent on the south coast of England. In addition to being a port town, Folkestone’s is also recognised as a popular seaside resort.
Folkestone includes a number of historic streets and is has a recognised arts and culture scene. In the Creative Quarter located in the old town of Folkestone, visitors will find a excellent selection of artists studios, independent and national retail shops, bars and eateries.. The town offers a wide selection of food options including local produce along with traditional British and international cuisine. In addition there are number of hotels for those looking to get away for weekend of a holiday.
The East Cliff and Warren Country Park is located close to Folkestone beach and is a popular area for rockpooling and fossil hunting.
Attractions include outdoor open lawns, pitch and putt and a bowls club along with woodlands with that are home to around 150 species of birds. The area is very popular during warmer temperature months.

The Warren beach is a short distance to the east of Folkestone beach. Like Folkestone beach it is both sandy and rocky and is located around beautiful chalk cliffs.
Sandgate beach is located to the west of Sandgate town centre and is a few miles to the west of Folkestone beach. The beach benefits from an excellent rating for water quality from the Marine Conservation Society.
There are a number of great beaches worth visiting in Kent including Broadstairs and Margate as well as the city of Canterbury.

Tripadvisor: There are a number of council owned car parks that are pay and display between 8:00am and 6:00pm daily. It's usually free to park outside these times but ready carefully. Expect car parks to be busy during warmer weather months.
