Caswell Bay (Welsh Bae Cas-well), is a popular family a beach on the south east coast of the Gower Peninsula, near Swansea, Wales. It is a sandy beach popular with families, holiday makers and surfers, and it regularly achieves Blue Flag status
The Gower Peninsula is a short distance from Swansea and in 1956 was the UK’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
A beautiful and ecologically diverse area which includes limestone cliffs, miles of stunning sandy beaches and wild moors.
There are a number of accommodation options available including hotels and self catering cottages.
Langland Bay is a popular coastal holiday resort in Gower that regularly meets the European Blue Flag award for quality.
Brandy Cove is set at the end of a valley near to Bishopston village. It is reachable by footpath from Bishopston or from Caswell Bay beach over some steep cliffs.
Mumbles beach is a mixture of both sand and rocks and benefits has lots of rock pools ideal for catching crabs and tiny fish at low tide
Swansea is just a few miles drive from Caswell Bay and is a great place to shop along with attractions that include a number of museums like the National Waterfront Museum.
Also there is the Swansea Museum which is the oldest museum in Wales which has a fascinating treasure house that contain all kinds of objects from the past of Swansea and from the rest of the world.
Tripadvisor: Caswell Bay can get very busy during the summer months.
Caswell Bay Swimming is safe, and there is a Lifeguard patrol during the summer months.
Yes toilet facilities are available.
Dogs are not permitted 1 May - 30 September. It is dog friendly outside of these months.
