Bracklesham Bay in West Sussex is mainly a shingle beach which becomes sandier as you get closer to the water’s edge. When the tide is out, a large area of wet sand and wooden groynes is exposed.
The beach offers views of the Isle of Wight and is a popular destination for water sports and swimming. It is also visited by fossil hunters and bird watchers.
Bracklesham village is a popular seaside holiday spot south of Chichester. There are a number of hotel and self catering options close by including excellent restaurants.
East Wittering is a shingle beach located near Chichester.
