About British Beaches

Hi, my name is Paul Brown, Fashion designer and Business owner. From a young age my most favoured memories are those holidays spent on the beaches of Devon.

Scrambling down rocky trails to reach the sand and rock pools revealed by the retreating tide with gulls crying overhead started my love of the seaside. It is a love enhanced by the frequent trips we later made as a family to Hunstanton and the stunning North Norfolk Coast, enjoying not just the beach but the local ice creams and dare I say it at times the amusement arcades.

The sea is a magnet to me. Now grown up, the love of beaches still lives with me alongside an appreciation of the nature involved and the great sunsets. The vastness and power of the sea never ceases to impress me, be it still and flat or crashing into the cliffs during hostile weather. It is obvious to all that visit that these scenes should be cherished and cared for, if they are to remain for further generations.

Britain is blessed with a variety of beaches from Woolacombe to Camber Sands with their vast golden sands to Brighton Beach with its shingle, each offering its own appeal, peace and seclusion in some cases or activities such as surfing or windsurfing at others. We all have our own favourite, but

I put together this website to provide information to those who share my love and whenever possible head for the coast and are keen to explore others. It will serve as an information hoard to help with the decision of choice or to help find what local facilities the beaches have to offer.
I hope it will grow as a resource for seaside lovers everywhere and would love to hear from you as to how it can be improved or what you feel should be added.
